Bob Lindsey was born in London, trained as an Engineer with the Ford Motor Company in Essex, and studied  for an Engineering Degree at the City University, London. He worked in the copper mines in Northern Zambia for four years and then held a number of positions in production and general management in the UK. He has worked as a Freelance Designer, as a Management Consultant and as a Business Adviser.

He worked in the Pulp and Paper Industry in New Zealand in the 1980's and the first draft of "Rangitaiki" was written there in 1985; the project lay dormant for 28 years before publication.

Bob Lindsey lives in Sunbury-on-Thames in the UK and still hasn't worked out what he's going to do when he's grown up.
